Use this page to authorize your software on an offline computer.

Offline activation is not recommended if you simply have spotty internet or plan to travel. In most cases, our hassle-free Online Activation suffices.
Offline activation is ideal if your system is truly airgapped (no internet) for 2+ months.

You will need:

  • Offline computer, with installed MAAT plugins
  • Computer with internet access
  • A MAAT License key
  • A USB stick to transfer files between computers (or floppy disk, CD ROM, whatever offline file transfer method you prefer!)



Step 1: Generate request file (.maatr)

1. Go to your offline computer, the one with MAAT plugin(s) installed.
2. Open either MAAT License Central, or go to Plugin Preferences → License/Info.
3. Paste in your license and click “Create License Request”.

4. If no errors appear, click “OK” to confirm and save the file to your USB stick.
5. Eject USB stick from the offline computer and move to your online computer to continue with Step 2.

Step 2 (Online): Upload .maatr

Now on this online machine, please upload the .maatr file from your USB stick. When the textbox shows your activation string, click “Copy.”


Step 3 (Online): Activate

Paste the activation string below and click “Activate.” A new confirmation code will appear in the text area, confirming successful activation.

Step 4 (Online): Generate Confirmation

Once you see that new confirmation code, click the button below to capture it and create a .maatc file.

Step 5 (Online): Download .maatc

Click below to download your .maatc file. Then copy it onto a USB stick, eject, and plug it back into your offline machine.

Step 6 (Offline): Complete Activation

Back on your offline machine, open License Central (or the plugin preferences ' ⚙ ' button). Choose “Activate Offline,” navigate to your .maatc file, and confirm activation.
